Bookmarks save a person's place in a book for an easy return for future reading. Bookmarks can be created in several ways, using materials such as paper, plastic, knitted or crocheted material, and also ribbon and beads.

Jewelry bookmarks are often designed to have an elegant appearance that matches the personality of the owner. They are created for fun and for prettiness. Still others are made to represent certain symbols or meanings in life. Books are a work of art in a written form from the artist and jewelry bookmarks help to bring out the true beauty of that art.

Some businesses purchase classic bookmarks designed with jewelry to use as promotional items, customizing them with company colors and/or any themes they may want to project.
